This is Rylee's new cousin, Gracie. She was born about 2 weeks after Rylee Grace. They were so funny......

Follow me here - this is my aunt Lillian Aylett's great-granddaughter. Her daughter Brenda's son Clark's youngest little girl. The rest of the gang (Lindsey, and her son Briley and Clark's other daughter Maddison, Richard and Brenda) were also there, but they were not much interested in anything but what was going on outside!

It's been a while!

It's been a week or so since my last post.....I've heard grumblings from certain people about it! We've been having fun! Last week was Spring Break and Brittany and Zach spent the week with us. Roy's transmission went out in his truck so he spent the week at home with Brittany and Zach with nowhere to go, except to the shop! :) He finally gave in on Thursday and bought another truck. We traded my car for a truck and a trailblazer (with 3 rows of seats, praise the Lord)! After traveling to the jonquil festival with 2 kids in one seat belt, we decided we needed more seating in a vehicle! We are enjoying both, but we'll be eating bologna sandwiches for the next three years! Don't know if it'll be worth it, or not! But you never know till you just suck it up and do it!

Rylee Grace got to meet Malley this week. At first, Rylee was real excited, but then......

When your dad's a coach, you have to practice more than most kids and you have to get closer to perfection than most kids.......poor Zach. But - he loves him some baseball!

Rylee Grace is 5 months old!

Rylee was 5 months old yesterday! We celebrated by attending the Track Meet at Nashville! :) She was so good. She just sits and watches everybody. Never cried.

She's such a sweet baby and we enjoy every minute with her!

"Pre-Easter" Easter Egg Hunt

We had a "Pre-Easter" Easter Egg Hunt yesterday at Momo Frances's house. I hid eggs for Chloe, Brittany and Zach. Zach was pretty excited that he found the most eggs. Chloe was pretty upset that Zach found the most eggs! HA! (You can see the disgust in her face as she looks once again at her number of eggs in the top picture with all three kids).

The Jonquil Festival

This weekend, we went to the Jonquil Festival at Old Washington. This was actually our first outing as an entire family and we had a ball! Brittany took a friend with her and Roy said we looked like the Brady Bunch walking in. HA! Rylee Grace slept thru the entire thing. I wanted to get pictures of all three kids in the jonquils, but Rylee had other things on her mind! We also had intentions of going from the Jonquil Festival to Colin's baseball game, but they moved his game up and we missed it. Hopefully we'll be able to catch another one some other day! After we left the Jonquil Festival, we ate lunch in Hope and went to WalMart. The kids had their picture taken with the Easter Bunny! Rylee spit up on the poor Easter Bunny and I think it was running down the arm! UGH! The price you pay.......I'll have to post their picture when I get a chance to get to Hope to pick it up. It was pretty cute and definately comical!

Rylee Grace loves her bath time. When she hears the water running in the kitchen sink (that's her bathtub) around 7:00 p.m., she starts kicking her feet and grunting! LOL If her bath water is NOT running at 7:00 p.m., she is crying! LOL She's in her little schedule, which makes life grand! After her 7:00 p.m. bath, she wants her bottle around 7:30 p.m. and then off to little sleep land! And yes, she sleeps all night long! Yippee!!!

I did it by myself!

I guess this is a bittersweet moment........

On one hand, a momma is proud when her baby does things on her own, but on the other hand, it means she's growing up. It brought tears to my eyes that Rylee is growing her own independence (that's an understatment). But - that's ultimately what we want as parents.......isn't it??

Much needed break!

Roy and I spent a nice, much-needed-weekend-away in Hot Springs. We stayed at the Arlington and attended way too many basketball games! LOL We had a really nice time. We searched for "treasures" all day Saturday at some of the many flea markets in Hot Springs. Rylee Grace stayed with BecBec and Nan. They had a ball with her, but I think they were glad to see us Sunday!

Okay......maybe Spring is NOT here.......

Spring is here!!!!

Rylee's uncle John took her outside Sunday afternoon to look at the flowers.........she was more interested in EATING the flowers than looking at them!

Brittany was outside with us and her daddy thought it would be cute to put a flower in HER hair, too........he got a little carried away and Brittany wanted me to be sure and tell everyone that HE did this to her - it was not her choice!!! LOL I don't blame her!!! :)

No! No! Not the headband!!!!

I am not a fan of the headbands, but I found one attached to one of Rylee's outfits and wondered what she would do if I put it on her head! Bless her heart - she was so upset about it, she fell asleep about 5 minutes after this picture! HA! I don't think she's gonna be a "girly-girl" - but that's okay!
