Day at the Zoo

Today we left after Sunday School and met Joe, Kim, Jeremy, Natalia and Ian, along with LOTS of other members of the Chism / Aylett clan.  And a clan it was!  It was VERY hot, but we had a good time.

Colin and Rylee Grace were patiently awaiting the arrival of the other members of the family.    We waited and waited.....and finally were able to go in!

As we waited, Rylee Grace was a little nervous about whether the animals would be out of the cages or not.....and about riding the carousel and the train.....and the monkeys peeing on her (thanks, Uncle Joe).

We had plenty of time to shoot some pictures.  I love these two precious angels with all of my heart!

Rylee and mom waiting for the carousel to start.  Can you see the look of anxiety in Rylee's forehead?  HA!

Colin acting silly in one of the photo "ops".

He is growing up so fast.  Such a handsome, sweet boy!

Roy and Momo waiting patiently.  Patience is NOT in my husband's vocabulary.

BecBec and Momo trying to keep cool.

Rylee Grace found a "mister" station and was able to have a little fun while trying to cool off.

Rylee cracks me up looking up at Colin.....I think she was a little taken back that he was a squirrel.

Saturday with Sissy

Saturday, we started out early to Hope to watch Zach play All Star Baseball.  He had played the night before and lost, but we were not able to go because of swimming lessons that we had already scheduled prior to scheduling baseball tournaments.  The game started at 10:00.  Luckily it was very cloudy and pretty breezy - a nice morning for a little baseball.  Unfortunately, the ballgame did not go in his favor.  They lost their second game, and were out of the tournament.  Zach played really well, though, and has really improved since last year!

In the top picture, you can see the teams lined up receiving their medals.  The 2nd picture, immediately above, is zoomed in on #5, who would rather receive the top place trophy!  Maybe next year!

We ate lunch and ran by the lumber yard to pick up some plywood that I needed for a project at school.  (More on that in another post).  Then we headed home.  Brittany had told Rylee that she would come swim with her that afternoon, so we all headed home and Rylee started asking when "Sissy" was coming.  I told her to give it a little while and she would call.  Well, by 3:00, Miss Rylee had waited as long as she could and she just had to call!

Rylee and I met Brittany at the Country Club and she came home with us, while Zach swam with a friend.  Rylee and Roy were in Heaven on Earth, and I was too, because what makes them happy makes me happy!

We swam, grilled burgers, Brittany practiced her driving skills with her daddy, and we swam some more!  The only problem was that Rylee told me that she didn't want me coming outside with them becuase I would talk to her Sissy too much.  In other words, I was taking her time away from her Sissy Time!  So I stayed inside and let Roy, Rylee and Brittany swim.  They had a ball.  Brittany did lots of cheer stunts with Rylee, and Rylee loved every minute of it!

Roy wanted an updated picture with "his girls" before we had to take Brittany home.  She stayed till about 9:00 and then we ran her home.
Miss Rylee had such a good time!  .............playing with Sissy is very tiring!

Another day at Pop's Farm

We (the girls) rode out to Pop's farm while the boys were adding deer corn to Roy's feeder. We let the kids piddle around at the creek. Rylee just wanted to get IN the water - you can see the expression on her face!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it.....WHAT?

I was outside today in my short-sleeved shirt with sweat on my forehead as it was 70 degrees here. I looked over and got tickled at my flag which reads "Let it Snow". I thought - yeah right. Although - the forecast for Monday is 40 degrees with winter precipitation.......we'll see.

Happy New Year!

We took a few minutes out of our fireworks display, thanks to Zach, and took a picture. It was WAY before midnight and poor Rylee Grace was already in bed. I nearly hated to post the picture without her, but maybe we'll get her in it next New Year's!

Before and After

Before the pool was ready for summer.......
And AFTER, thank goodness!!!!

High Winds and Heavy Corn......

Roy was FURIOUS the other night when a storm blew thru and literally blew thru his garden! Heaven forbid touching the corn!!!!! Although - I guess if I had worked as hard on the corn, as he and Zach have, I would have been furious, too!

Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Yesterday was my first Mother's Day and it's definately a day to be proud of! I'm learning more and more each day how precious life is! Nobody could have EVER told me how rewarding being a Mommy would be!
Rylee Grace (via BecBec) got me a precious little card with this rose bush. I can't wait to plant it and I guess I'll move it with me if I ever move to another house! It's priceless to me!

Rylee's new cousin, Gracie

This is Rylee's new cousin, Gracie. She was born about 2 weeks after Rylee Grace. They were so funny......

Follow me here - this is my aunt Lillian Aylett's great-granddaughter. Her daughter Brenda's son Clark's youngest little girl. The rest of the gang (Lindsey, and her son Briley and Clark's other daughter Maddison, Richard and Brenda) were also there, but they were not much interested in anything but what was going on outside!

Happy (Belated) Easter!

Rylee's First Easter

You can see what she was more interested in....eating the basket and the eggs........

and Daniel's tie!

(Justin and Daniel are such handsome boys!)

The Jonquil Festival

Brittany, Zach and Kaycee under the HUGE magnolia tree at Old Washington.
Brittany, Zach and Roy upstairs at one of the buildings.

This weekend, we went to the Jonquil Festival at Old Washington. This was actually our first outing as an entire family and we had a ball! Brittany took a friend with her and Roy said we looked like the Brady Bunch walking in. HA! Rylee Grace slept thru the entire thing. I wanted to get pictures of all three kids in the jonquils, but Rylee had other things on her mind! We also had intentions of going from the Jonquil Festival to Colin's baseball game, but they moved his game up and we missed it. Hopefully we'll be able to catch another one some other day! After we left the Jonquil Festival, we ate lunch in Hope and went to WalMart. The kids had their picture taken with the Easter Bunny! Rylee spit up on the poor Easter Bunny and I think it was running down the arm! UGH! The price you pay.......I'll have to post their picture when I get a chance to get to Hope to pick it up. It was pretty cute and definately comical!
