I have been meaning to post a comment about my sister-friend Brandy graduating from TAMU-Texarkana. I had good intentions, but just never typed it up! She has been going to school days, nights, summers, etc. while raising two precious boys and tending to her husband. I know this must have been quite a task because when I was going to school and thinking my life was in h**l, I didn't have a child to raise, much less two, and I didn't have a husband to tend to. In December, she received her bachelor's degree and is certified to teach elementary school. She received good news yesterday that she was chosen to take on a long-term maternity leave at the New Boston school district. I believe she'll start in February....hopefully......and will probably go thru the end of the semester. Even though she did her practice teaching, there is nothing like being in there by yourself and being responsible for 15-20 little ladybugs. It will be good experience for her and a positive for her resume'. I'm so proud of her and so excited for her.
For those of you who don't know, I used to babysit Brandy. When she told me she was pregnant with Logan , I though t- oh Lord - Brandy?....a mother? But - I can not tell you how many times I have called on Brandy during my own pregnancy and in the year since Rylee Grace was born to ask her for "momma advice". She is the best little momma to her two precious boys. Now she has accomplished the awesome task of graduating from college. I'm so proud of her. I love her like my sister and wish her the very best in her new journey as a teacher! (Trust me - she'll need it LOL!!!) I have no doubt she will be the best teacher and will touch so many lives in such a postive way. Cheerios to you, Bran, I love you dearly!
